Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech This role is responsible for leading a team of supply chain project managers covering overall End to End (E2E) supply chain for digital and power products, including new product development, lifecycle management to end of life, launch management, process improvements, and developing strategies for innovation / manufacturing of the future. This leader will work in close partnership and collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure that all projects and issues related to patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value are executed to exceed business metrics. This leader will work in concert with Product Value Stream Leaders to identify and execute critical projects that will transform the DPS supply chain to deliver best in class performance. This role is also responsible for leading critical supply chain strategic projects and issue management activities, project portfolio execution within the product category, providing insights to Value Stream Leaders for consideration into Product Strategy Roadmaps, business process management and continuous improvement, execution and maturation of process governance with external manufacturers, maintenance of departmental and project capital/expense budgets, seamless integration of newly stabilized products into E2E LCM process, and improvement of the End to End (E2E) supply chain processes. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Science, or a related Field required
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, or Relevant field (6+ years of relevant experience with master’s degree) required
  • Work experience within the healthcare (i.e. Medical Technology or Pharmaceuticals) industry
  • Project Management experience, including developing and implementing processes for new or existing products/process and/or new technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain operational management with either internal or external manufacturers
  • Demonstrated ability applying project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, budget management, and organizational change techniques
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation) to effectively persuade and work across segments and functions at all levels of the organization
  • Minimum language required: English (mandatory)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related Field is preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies is preferred
  • Project management methodology certification (e.g., PMP/PMI, FPX) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for project management activities supporting the full product lifecycle of digital and power products.
  • Partner with Marketing, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain teams to develop strategies to achieve business objectives and provide governance through effective prioritization and allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals
  • Orchestrate project portfolio management via robust NPI and LCM process execution (intake/approval/delivery)
  • Identify interdependencies and risks across project portfolios and implement mitigations which result in flawless project execution which exceeds business expectations
  • Lead critical issues and strategic supply chain projects impacting patient safety, compliance, quality, service, growth, and value.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports in robust project management methodologies (e.g. FPX/PMP), continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN), technical/manufacturing subject matter expertise, and change management.
  • Lead New Product Introduction and lifecycle management governance process with both internal and external business partners
  • Develop a positive relationship with external manufacturers and suppliers via strong communication, frequent team collaboration/site visits, and identification of win/win opportunities that serve both JNJ and the external manufacturer/supplier.
