ROLE SUMMARY: This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to many different areas of the corporate tax department, both domestic and international. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to tackle challenges and projects across diverse tax discipline (international, federal, state), and manage different workflows, including provision, compliance, as well as tax planning. The candidate will support the company’s US domestic and international tax compliance and reporting function. This role is based in St. Louis, MO.

Requirements

  • OneSource Income Tax preparation experience.
  • OneSource Tax Provision experience preferred
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and tax research tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
  • Effectively lead people
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge of monthly accounting cycle – month-end close, LEs, budget vs. actual variance analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with CPA firm, law firm, or large multinational corporation

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or Advanced degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting federal reporting, both from a provision and compliance perspective.
  • Work with outside consultants and advisors, as well as individuals from other departments within ABI; provide internal support to other ABI groups as needed
  • Work with outside consultants and advisors to review and push to completion various federal and international forms and calculation.
  • Assist Excise and Property Tax colleagues with reporting and audit inquiries.
  • Identify and analyze inter-company transactions of the Company and related parties for proper domestic and international reporting purposes
  • Responsible for researching federal and state tax regulations and summarize findings.
  • Support tax controversy defense efforts around international tax items
  • Improve existing processes with technology and automation
  • Lead special projects as needed
