About The Position

The Senior Manager, Talent Programmes & Talent Development is responsible for building and nurturing HKSTP’s dynamic Innovation & Technology (I&T) talent community. This role involves sourcing talent through innovative approaches for the entire Science Park Community, as well as developing long-term and sustainable talent pipelines that support the ongoing growth of Hong Kong’s innovation ecosystem. The Senior Manager also provides career counseling, guides individuals in their career discovery, and supports young talents as they explore various career paths within HKSTP’s ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of experience in the areas of project development, program management, learning & development and people engagement.
  • Demonstrated passion for nurturing talent, with a proven track record in providing career counselling, talent identification and development; and guiding young individuals in their professional development.
  • Knowledge on I&T sector and/or tertiary education sectors, including connections in Mainland China and abroad.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments, with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, Putonghua, and Cantonese.
  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player and a drive to achieve success.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, attract, and engage talent through creative and effective channels to address immediate hiring requirements and ensure a steady and sustainable pipeline for the HKSTP ecosystem, both in Hong Kong and internationally.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders including partner companies, tertiary institutions, youth organizations, government bodies, research organizations, and NGOs.
  • Design, implement, and expand talent and developments programs targeted at tertiary students and graduates, collaborating closely with internal teams and external service providers to maximize impact.
  • Champion the development of a vibrant and engaged talent community by fostering a strong sense of belonging and encouraging long-term participation of I&T talent within the Science Park ecosystem.
  • Lead comprehensive program implementation, assess program effectiveness using stakeholder feedback and data-driven insights, and drive ongoing improvements to ensure objectives are met.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop team members to achieve set objectives and deliver agreed performance results.
  • Provide personalized career counseling, facilitate career path discovery, and offer job placement support tailored to the needs of young professionals navigating the rapidly changing I&T landscape.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
