The role Ferring is hiring a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition (“TA”) for our US HR team in Parsippany, New Jersey. The role focuses on the US market with the potential to also support Canada. Reporting to the Global Head of TA with a dotted line to the VP, HR, Ferring US, you will lead a team of two recruiters and two sourcers. You’ll be part of both the US HR and global TA communities. Responsibilities The role is first and foremost a people manager—building capability and accountability across the TA team to deliver hiring outcomes (quality of hire, stakeholder experience, and speed). Secondly, you are a seasoned TA partner with both breadth and depth in recruitment, and thirdly, an operations manager who ensures consistent service delivery and high-quality end-to-end recruitment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field (required).
  • 10+ years of talent acquisition experience (required), including hands-on recruitment operations experience (required).
  • 3+ years of people management experience in Talent Acquisition (required), including developing, training, and mentoring junior talent (required).
  • Experience managing recruiting vendors (required).
  • Knowledge of federal and state recruitment standards and external best practices (required).
  • Comfort with Talent Acquisition technology and sourcing tools (required).
  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on operational efficiency and root-cause solutions (required).
  • Ability to drive accountability in a highly collaborative way (required).
  • Ability to set priorities, drive projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (required).
  • High level of self-motivation and ownership of work (required).
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence and establish trust with stakeholders (required).
  • Analytical mindset with ability to solve recruitment problems, devise sourcing strategies, and demonstrate ROI using data and analytics (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience spanning both agency and in-house recruiting environments (preferred).
  • Experience in a life sciences/pharmaceutical company (preferred).
  • Experience supporting executive-level recruitment, commercial team expansions, and department buildouts (preferred).
  • Experience with tools such as Workday, LinkedIn, ServiceNow, Starred, CareerOS, HireRight, and Rooster (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the in-house TA team (hiring, performance management, coaching, and capability building) to deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Partner and consult with HRBPs and the business to understand needs and execute against talent strategies to deliver value and enhance the way we intentionally recruit talent and foster a culture of recruiting excellence.
  • Deliver recruiting services yourself and through the team and ensure end-to-end recruitment processes are followed and that KPIs and SLAs are met.
  • Act as the point of escalation in the assigned geography for service delivery issues.
  • Project manage ramp-ups and special recruitment initiatives when necessary.
  • Partner with Procurement to manage the external agency preferred supplier list for temporary workers.
  • Oversee the background check process.
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of the New Hire Orientation program, ensuring a welcoming new hire experience and a smooth transition into their new role.
  • Embed Ferring’s Employer Value Proposition across the employee and candidate experience.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to develop content for the Ferring US career website and enable employees to amplify the Ferring brand through their social media presence.
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify and validate optimal sourcing channels, recruiter and hiring manager effectiveness, and overall quality and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing, monitoring, and sharing metrics, and by managing feedback mechanisms to assess effectiveness and quality.
  • Apply Ferring’s candidate assessment methodologies and tools to evaluate talent (e.g., corporate, technical, and commercial roles) throughout the interview process.
  • Translate assessment insights into practical plans and actions.
  • Share process changes with the US TA team and manage the change with stakeholders.
  • Participate in global projects as a regional TA leader.
  • Represent local needs in global program design and drive successful regional implementation.
