This Sr. Manager will directly manage a team of technologists who support all Schwab corporate office locations, including service centers, remote corporate offices, and edge colocation facilities. The team provides comprehensive technology space management including hardware implementation, inventory management, technology space planning, asset tracking, and remote hands. Technologists are the primary interface with infrastructure platform owners, and Corporate Real Estate / Facilities for all environmental issues within technology spaces. The team is responsible for managing all technology-related change activities with regard to building expansions and new building construction projects. The team is also responsible for the secure coordination and disposal of all Schwab technology assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT related field, and/or equivalent technical experience.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC) certifications desired.
  • Proficiency with DCIM software - preferably Nlyte.
  • Experience with data center space design and deployment of technology components.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems as they relate to technology spaces.
  • Experience with the application of Kaizen or LEAN principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technologists who manage all physical technology hardware assets within corporate and colo technology environments.
  • Responsible for budgetary forecasts.
  • Manage IT asset audit-related examination evidence.
  • Vendor management and basic contracts administration.
  • Participate in project-related programming interviews across all technology platforms and facilities management groups to identify, interpret and translate IT hardware requirements from conceptual stage through entire physical IT asset lifecycle.
