The Senior Manager role at Bristol Myers Squibb is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing supply chain and logistics functions at the BMS Cell Therapy Facility. This role is integral to managing product and patient demand, production scheduling, import/export permits, product shipping and receiving, and the cold chain logistics of personalized cell therapies produced at the manufacturing site. The Senior Manager will lead a team, ensuring that workflow demands are met while fostering an environment of continuous learning and teamwork. This position requires effective communication with cross-functional leaders to drive successful outcomes and maintain high performance metrics for the team. In addition to people leadership, the Senior Manager will act as the primary point of contact for Cell Therapy Supply Chain Demand Planning. This includes managing rough-cut capacity planning and master production scheduling, optimizing internal capacity to meet manufacturing needs, and establishing an integrated demand and supply plan from patient demand to final drug product distribution. The role also involves managing product demand changes and translating these into approved production plans, ensuring that the site meets patient slot allocations on a weekly and daily basis. The Senior Manager will also oversee product management and logistics, acting as the primary contact for Cell Therapy Global Patient Scheduling. Responsibilities include managing the incoming flow of patient apheresis material, conducting investigations on supply disruptions, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. Furthermore, the role encompasses managing area quality systems and compliance, including standard operating procedures, deviations, corrective actions, and change controls, while promoting a culture of compliance and safety. Operational excellence is a key focus, with the Senior Manager expected to promote continuous improvement and participate in cross-functional teams to enhance systems and processes. Limited global travel, up to 10% of the time, may be required for this position.
