Responsible for serving as a key strategic role, working across Transportation, Supply Chain, Replenishment, Finance, and Category Management teams to lead data-driven decision-making and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations from supplier to customer. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels throughout the entire value chain network. Build and lead a team of Supply Chain Optimization Analysts and Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize the complete supply chain flow from supplier integration through customer delivery.
- Develop and maintain optimization models to support strategic decision-making across supply chain functions, including supplier management and customer service metrics.
- Collaborate with Finance teams to analyze cost drivers, develop business cases, and track ROI on supply chain initiatives.
- Coordinate with Finance to establish and track supply chain cost allocation methodologies related to defined solutions.
- Partner with Category Management teams to support data-driven supply chain decisions and negotiations.
- Design and implement processes to improve Supply Chain efficiency across the supplier-to-customer network.
- Create financial models and scenarios to evaluate supply chain optimization opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement through data analysis and process optimization.
- Assess organizational needs, define team structure and build out a supply chain optimization team as the function expands.
- Create standardized processes and documentation to support team scalability.
- Develop and mentor team members while establishing clear roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- May require certification.
- Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience building an analytics or optimization function from the ground up.
- Success in establishing and scaling operational teams.
- Experience managing performance and development of technical professionals.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methods.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.
- Understanding of financial modeling and working capital management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (CPIM, CSCP, or similar).
- Experience with supply chain optimization software.
