About The Position

As a Senior Manager within the Global Sourcing - Direct Materials Team, you will lead commodity managers in developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. This role is pivotal in maintaining a resilient and ethical supply chain and driving enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives. You will report to Director Strategic Sourcing. Location: Milwaukee, WI or Mayfield Heights, OH (Hybrid: Mon, Tue, Thu in-office)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 20% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience.
  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, or contracting.
  • At least 5 years in a cross functional leadership role mentoring multiple people.
  • Combined 5+ years of experience in engineering, NPI, manufacturing, procurement, or logistics.
  • Background in industrial or technology sectors.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • International supplier management experience (Mexico, Asia, Europe).

Responsibilities

  • Commodity Strategy & Execution: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned commodities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align sourcing strategies with business needs and market trends.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Drive improvements in key sourcing KPIs and support global manufacturing operations.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop sourcing professionals.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across global teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement sourcing best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to optimize component supply chain design and achieve year-over-year savings.
  • Lead team through following phases: Ideate à Incubate à Pilot à Debug à Scale Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulations, including ISO standards and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
