About The Position

The Senior Manager of Strategic Programs is responsible for helping driving enterprise-level strategic initiatives that enhance Zachry Group’s long-term competitive position, operational performance, and organizational effectiveness. This role facilitates the design and execution of strategic programs aligned with corporate strategy, including performance improvement, scenario planning, and investment analytics.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate planning, management consulting, engineering & construction, or related fields.
  • Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating with senior executives, ensuring efforts align with the enterprise strategy.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical reasoning.
  • Ability to structure and resolve complex problems, evaluate financial implications, and develop decision-support models.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, analysis, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic direction into clear implementation plans with measurable results.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment; confidentiality is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution Coordinates the development and deployment of identified strategic projects, including multi-year corporate initiatives, enterprise transformation efforts, and performance improvement strategies as identified.
  • Facilitates executive alignment around long-term priorities to ensure successful execution.
  • Translates enterprise strategy into proposed specific metrics, roadmaps, and implementation plans for business units and enabling functions.
  • Performs scenario modeling, competitive analysis, market assessments, and investment evaluations to support long-range planning and portfolio optimization.
  • Performance Management & Business Planning Develops and maintains executive-level scorecards, dashboards, and performance reports that measures progress against strategic objectives.
  • Partners with Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A), Operations, and Business Development to support business planning processes.
  • Proposes frameworks that monitor initiative progress, ensure accountability, and escalate risks or barriers to execution.
  • Program Leadership & Change Management Facilitates cross-functional teams to deliver complex, high-impact initiatives requiring integration across business units and enabling functions.
  • Applies change management approaches to ensure adoption and alignment across the enterprise.
  • Advisory & Decision Support Delivers high-quality presentations and strategic recommendations grounded in data-driven analysis.
  • Synthesizes complex issues into clear, concise, and actionable insights for decision-making.
