About The Position

What you get to do in this role: This role combines portfolio intelligence with hands-on strategic initiative leadership, enabling the I&A organization to both understand portfolio performance and accelerate the initiatives that matter most. The Senior Manager, Strategic Portfolio Initiatives partners with senior leadership to shape, prioritize, and operationalize high-impact programs—while building the analytics and governance infrastructure that drives visibility, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across the organization. Portfolio Governance & Initiative Leadership Establish and maintain portfolio governance structures to track initiative progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives. Drive cross-functional coordination among business units to advance key programs and resolve execution barriers. Facilitate strategic reviews and leadership discussions to evaluate progress, adjust priorities, and ensure effective resource allocation. Support long-range planning by translating enterprise strategy into a structured portfolio of initiatives and investments. Identify opportunities to improve portfolio management processes, frameworks, and decision-making structures. Analytics, Reporting & Executive Visibility Design and build comprehensive portfolio dashboards that provide real-time visibility into initiative health, resource utilization, delivery velocity, risk exposure, and business impact across the I&A landscape. Develop analytics frameworks and measurement models that define how success is measured, tracked, and reported—including leading and lagging indicators, health scoring methodologies, and benefit realization tracking approaches. Create executive-level insights and narratives by analyzing portfolio data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and strategic implications—translating metrics into meaningful business stories for leadership consumption. Define and track portfolio KPIs in partnership with governance and strategy leads, ensuring metrics are aligned to business outcomes and consistently reported. Design and maintain the portfolio reporting calendar, establishing regular cadences for performance reviews, trend analysis, and strategic planning cycles. Conduct ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions, business case development, capacity planning, and investment prioritization discussions. Partner with business intelligence and data engineering teams to leverage enterprise analytics platforms and build scalable reporting solutions. Support executive presentations with data-driven content, compelling visualizations, and analytical narratives that inform leadership decision-making.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in portfolio management, program management, strategic planning, or business analytics within technology organizations, consulting firms, or enterprise functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception through execution in matrixed organizations.
  • Experience designing and maintaining portfolio governance structures, including intake processes, prioritization frameworks, risk tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Proven capability building executive-level reporting and dashboards that provide clear, actionable visibility into initiative performance and outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and data skills—comfortable working with initiative tracking data, resource utilization metrics, and delivery performance indicators to generate insights and narratives.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills: ability to transform complex data and program information into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking: ability to connect program execution to business outcomes and translate strategy into an actionable portfolio.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in analytics and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) with ability to design executive-level dashboards.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platforms, Go-to-Market operations data, or similar enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience with Anaplan, SPM systems, or enterprise resource planning analytics.
  • Background supporting transformation initiatives through data, analytics, and governance.
