About The Position

About This Role The Senior Manager, Standards & Governance is part of the Global Medical Capabilities Team, a strategic partner within Global Medical Affairs. This role will be responsible for supporting governance and implementation of global business processes in close partnership with Compliance and Global Medical leadership. The role serves as a key resource for the continued process and tool redesigns for all Global Medical owned activities and works through business partnership, data analytics, monitoring, training, and communications. What You will Do Provide consulting support to Global Medical business on the appropriate application of all Biogen policies and requirements. Participate in implementation of business processes and systems supporting release of new and/or updated Policy, SOP, and other written guidance owned by Global Medical and/or Corporate Compliance Identify, and help implement new, or changes to, processes required due to internal or external requirements. Represent Global Medical in cross-organizational process improvement initiatives. Support the development, and drive implementation, of monitoring efforts based on risk exposure. Drive the design and implementation of training programs. Support Corporate Compliance with communications and remediation training in relation to monitoring findings. Actively support monitoring results reporting to leadership to facilitate the appropriate understanding of observations and findings, and meaningful communication to business owners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant life science.
  • Experience in Governance and/or Compliance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry required, ideally in Governance and/or Compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and functions to achieve shared goals.
  • Skilled at conveying complex ideas with clarity and precision.
  • Maintains integrity and impartiality in all actions and recommendations.
  • Strong capability to understand, analyze, and improve complex workflows.
  • Comfortable leading and making decisions in uncertain or evolving environments.
  • Anticipates challenges and drives innovative resolutions.
  • Builds strong relationships and navigates diverse personalities effectively.
  • Skilled at influencing and aligning with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities
