The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, for the Enterprise Privacy Risk Assessment team serves as a subject matter expert on data privacy and protection laws, regulations, policies, and best practices and leads data privacy and protection risks assessments and remediation efforts. The role requires a highly motivated, action-oriented privacy expert who is at ease providing privacy compliance guidance to business and technical teams. The role also includes fostering collaboration across business units and with other stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to company standards and ethical practices to support organizational integrity and operational excellence. About the team: The Enterprise Privacy Risk Assessment team leads comprehensive data privacy and protection risk evaluations, ensuring projects and technical solutions processing Personal Information adhere to established privacy standards. This team drives remediation efforts to safeguard individual and company interests while fostering trust. Members collaborate across functions to identify risks, implement compliance strategies, and support continuous improvement. The team emphasizes effective communication, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation to uphold governance standards. Their work ensures that privacy guardrails are consistently maintained, aligning with organizational values and regulatory requirements to protect sensitive information and support business objectives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data privacy and protection laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Lead data privacy and protection risks assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Perform monitoring activities as necessary to ensure continued compliance in identified high-risk areas.
  • Proactively identify and respond to privacy compliance trends and concerns.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address privacy requirements and help drive digital trust and transparency.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs to associates and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Partner with Legal, Information Security, and IT teams to ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded in new products, services, and technologies.
  • Respond to privacy-related questions and issues raised by business teams, other compliance associates, and leadership.
  • Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
  • 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, LGPD, PIPEDA) and cross-border data transfer mechanisms in addition to US state privacy laws (CCPA, VCDPA, MODPA, etc.).
  • Experience in privacy issues in a customer-facing company, eCommerce/retail, or have a strong technology background.
  • Ability to communicate detailed and complex information and privacy concepts in an accurate and understandable manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data flows and identify privacy risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Experience with privacy management software or GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools such as OneTrust.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary.
  • Demonstrate a sense of accountability, bias for action, and sound professional judgment.
  • Comfortable utilizing AI and GenAI based tools.
  • CIPP certification or a Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Masters: Business Administration
