About The Position

The Senior Manager Sourcing (Special Projects) is responsible for multi-category, dual-gender management including both apparel and intimate apparel, supporting business strategies in conjunction with the special projects space and with overarching Supply initiatives. This includes leading functions related to sourcing, product development, pre-production/production and meeting organizational KPI's.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Product Development, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Supply Chain related space
  • Must have strong soft skills, ability to influence across and up
  • Experience working with European-based L1/L2 preferred
  • Ability to speak Italian, a bonus
  • Good judgment & decision-making skills (with an ability to get to root cause analysis and corrective action planning)
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (to include good listening & negotiation skills, must have the ability to present at leadership level)
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely resourceful, have excellent follow-up skills; using all appropriate contacts to gather information & drive solutions
  • Must be flexible and can function in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a team, transcending different cultures, geographies & time zones
  • Ability to develop efficient processes, review & refine; always striving for continuous improvement
  • Computer skills - Microsoft office is a must, PLM, Cost systems are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Clear understanding of divisional goals (quantitative & qualitative) and seasonal strategies
  • Understand competition, macro-economic landscape; keep abreast with industry trends, trade regulation etc.
  • Manage to the total cost of goods/MMU for their business units
  • Drive process efficiencies and collaborate on continuous improvements
  • Advance project management calendar discipline (adherence & mitigation)
  • Lead meetings with cross functional/global partners to ensure alignment
  • Manage & develop one direct report (Associate Sourcing Manager)
  • Onboard new vendors through creation and implementation of directives, collaborating with hubs on gathering paperwork
  • Develop & manage point to point vendor relationships
  • Spearheads product and raw material allocation based on vendor strategy, cost targets & supplier capability
  • Drive material commitments and movements in collaboration with Raw Materials (RM) partners
  • Owns timing for delivery of protos & salesman samples as well as identification of mitigation opportunities for any delays
  • Serves as the business-facing Sourcing lead in brand meetings/proto reviews/SMS reviews/line finalization meetings
  • Leads sourcing efforts around special projects/new product launches/marketing initiatives
  • Drives interaction with raw materials, technical design, and operations to provide manufacturing & supply chain expertise to drive top-line, profitable sales
  • Interfaces with cross functional teams on any product, quality or delivery issues and offers solutions to resolve
  • Works in conjunction with planning lead on global supply planning long lead time commits, global reconciliation for collaborations
  • VMS (Vendor Management System) system management to ensure on-time delivery & mitigate where possible
  • Lead new vendor onboarding with cross-functional teams, ensuring vendors are connecting with all internal partners as needed to execute production
  • Creates cost-guidance tools for design teams to reference when building products into designated cost buckets
  • Reviews costs prior to presentation to merchants (must be fact based and in line with the macro trends)
  • Establishes/maintains cost folio within approved vendor matrix
  • Lead vendor counter-sourcing initiatives, in alignment with sourcing strategy
