About The Position

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead a team of software developers to build best-in-class software applications that drive increased efficiency for our engineers within the Blue Engines business unit. You will define coding standard methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that ultimately support the development, delivery, and sustainment of all our engines. You will be the single-threaded-leader in ensuring that the solutions we deliver as a team effectively aligns with the needs of our business customers and business processes. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience successfully managing software teams
  • Proven skill at developing and deploying production systems that can scale rapidly to meet significant demand
  • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals like algorithms and data structures
  • Strong experience working in an agile development methodology
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Experience with tools such as GitLab, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Next.js, Python
  • Proficiency with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry working with sophisticated systems (PLM, ERP, MRP systems)
