Position Summary... What you'll do... We're looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team that is focused on creating initiatives for future strategies. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within the organization with expectations to deliver immediate results. In this role, you'll primarily be responsible for creating a long-term strategy for Store Item Platform and a transformative path for a talented group of engineers. What you'll do: Oversee the development and maintenance of the Store Core Platforms & AI Initiatives. Lead a team of engineers in the design and implementation of various features in the platform. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment for the team to continuously improve and develop new capabilities. Manage project timelines, resource allocation and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget. Build, develop and guide high-performing talent for the Core Services engineering team. Engage and guide the team technically. Get involved in design and architecture and hands on coding if required. Develop innovative strategies, processes, and best practices by leading internal technical teams; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business; developing assessments of key opportunities; documenting project scopes; developing long-range plans and project timelines; communicating with and influencing decision-makers and executives within the organization; and resolving technology differences across teams through informed discussions. Create a collaborative environment across geographies for delivering best services to customers around the globe. Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provide supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates who report into you. Identify, attract, and retain diverse and inclusive team members; build a high-performing team; embrace diversity in all its forms; and actively support diversity goal programs. What you'll bring: 10+ years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems 5+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Managerial role. Hands on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS), Kafka (or other messaging service), GraphQL and NoSQL (Cassandra, Cosmos etc.) Should be hands on writing/reviewing design & code. Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies. Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.   • 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
