What you'll do... Position: Senior Manager, Software Engineering Job Location: 10900 NE 4th Street, Floor 8, Bellevue, WA 98004 Duties: Participate in designing systems and applications. Implement new architectural patterns and perform design and code reviews. Participate in the discovery phase of projects to come up with high-level design by partnering with the product management, project management, and business and user experience teams. Participate in team projects by reviewing project requirements, and translating requirements into technical solutions while gathering requested information. Design and develop backend microservices and REST APIs for web applications. Maintain services for cloud migration work. Define expectations, best practices, guidelines and ways of working for teams, ensuring the team is adhering to them. This position supervises 7 employees (5 Senior Software Engineer; 1 Software Engineer III; 1 Software Engineer II). Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment. Skills required: Experience designing and implementing services in Java and J2EE. Experience designing and implementing microservices in Nodejs. Experience leading the team to implement projects. Experience working closely with product managers across teams to identify scalable and common arch solutions. Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services. Experience deploying to Cloud. Experience designing NoSQL DB solutions including Cassandra. Experience integrating kafka in architecture solutions. Experience designing scalable, reliable, high availability solutions. Experience writing Unit and integration tests using JUnit framework. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $212,202/year to $264,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
