About The Position

The Senior Manager, Site Engagement at Novo Nordisk is responsible for managing clinical sites involved in clinical trials. This role focuses on building relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions, optimizing clinical trial delivery, and enhancing site performance through collaboration and strategic engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 9+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research with strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and trial management.
  • Solid knowledge of clinical development processes with emphasis on site management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in relationship building and customer service, particularly with site staff and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer focus, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinical trial management software.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in clinical research.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and foster new and existing strategic relationships with key research sites and institutions.
  • Develop tools and best practices to manage priority clinical research sites and identify emerging research centers.
  • Analyze site performance and utilization against established KPIs, managing and escalating performance issues as necessary.
  • Strengthen relationships between sites and Novo Nordisk clinical teams to enhance performance and remove barriers in site start-up and execution.
  • Collaborate with local teams to resolve study-level challenges.
  • Maintain knowledge of site processes and institution knowledge to guide study teams and leadership.
  • Coordinate and lead presentations about Novo Nordisk's study portfolio and site inclusion with cross-functional leaders.
  • Evaluate recruitment and retention strategies to accelerate trial enrollment at underperforming sites.
  • Engage and develop a network of high-performing sites through consistent interactions and communication.
  • Advise and educate study sites, building sustainable investigator and site relationships throughout the study.
  • Partner with field staff to perform targeted site prospecting in alignment with portfolio strategy.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between sites, third-party vendors, and Novo Nordisk.
  • Influence internal and external factors to improve clinical research delivery.
