About The Position

The Senior Manager, Shopper Insights Walmart and Sam’s Club will develop and deliver best in class shopper insights across multiple channels and key retail customers. This position will function as the shopper insights partner for the category development and sales teams, reporting into the Director of Insights.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Insights to develop and deploy the insights learning plan for sales/retailer teams.
  • Manage research projects from the insights plan by helping outline objectives, identify information sources, and managing research suppliers.
  • Analyze results from studies deployed and proactively prepare and present unbiased, action-oriented recommendations.
  • Proactively identify key business issues specific to each respective channel/retailer and provide actionable recommendations based on the research results.
  • Monitor and report on competitive activities and market dynamics.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations for product development, marketing, merchandising, and sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to implement insights-driven initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders both internally and with external retail partners.
  • Support the category management and sales teams with key insights to inform customer planning meetings, seasonal deep dives, and line reviews.
  • Support the sales team in driving the assigned sales goal and optimizing budget.
  • Interact on a regular basis with key members of the insights and merchant team at the various retail partners.
