We're building a world where Identity belongs to you. We are looking for a Senior Manager, SEO to join a growing Global Digital team within the fast-paced marketing organization at Okta. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of technical SEO, web content strategy, and how to leverage these disciplines to drive organic traffic across Okta.com, Auth0.com, subdomains, and microsites. They will also need to be a strong communicator capable of working across diverse teams which include highly technical and non-technical members to reach our marketing goals and accomplish SEO objectives. A mindset of always improving and learning is vital, and experience leading and coaching FTEs and vendors is a must.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in SEO principles and strategy, and 3+ years of experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of multiple SEO platforms such as STAT, SEMRush, Lumar, Looker Studio, Tableau, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and more
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Digital Asset Manager
  • Passionate about SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing
  • Ability to communicate complex SEO terms and processes to others not familiar
  • Deep understanding of analytics and reporting tools
  • Excellent at working with multiple technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to create SEO strategies from data to meet business cases, market insights, and requirements for SEO
  • Ability to work with other digital channels and functions such as UX, Digital Strategy, SEM, Paid Media, and website analytics
  • A desire to have fun, work hard, and drive results for yourself and others

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Director of Digital Acquisition within our Digital Team
  • Create and communicate SEO strategy roadmaps with stakeholders and marketing leadership
  • Implement SEO strategy across the marketing and other company organizations
  • Lead SEO projects such as keyword research, content planning, and other internal SEO work
  • Monitor, report, improve, and test SEO efforts ecosystem-wide
  • Lead efforts with our vendors to drive and maximize output
  • Work with content creators to identify gaps in content both business and technical
  • Mentor and coach full-time team members
  • Develop best practice documentation to enable internal teams to self-service
  • Work with our growth team and technical SEO to identify possible impacts on SEO during A/B testing and other experiments
  • Own SEO technical considerations across the ecosystem, especially as we migrate from Drupal to Adobe Experience Manager
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and the changing landscape of SEO in the age of AI
