About The Position

This is a high-visibility leadership role overseeing revenue accounting, billing, and collections during a pivotal phase of systems transformation and growth. You will own ASC 606 compliance and manage the full quote-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring technical accuracy, operational efficiency, and strong internal controls. Reporting to the Controller, you will act as the subject matter expert for revenue-related matters while leading and developing a small but critical team. Requirements

  • Active CPA license (required).
  • 7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience with deep expertise in ASC 606.
  • Proven experience leading and developing revenue or billing teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, including Advanced Revenue Management.
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) in integrated quote-to-cash environments.
  • Demonstrated success scaling revenue processes within high-growth SaaS or subscription-based businesses.
  • Experience supporting audits and building comprehensive revenue documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting concepts.

Nice To Haves

  • Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar), subscription or usage-based billing experience, and international revenue exposure are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of revenue recognition under ASC 606, including contract reviews, multi-element arrangements, and variable consideration analysis.
  • Lead and manage the full quote-to-cash accounting lifecycle, overseeing accounts receivable, deferred revenue, contract assets, and revenue reporting.
  • Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes, improving accuracy, timeliness, and automation across the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, and FP&A to ensure proper deal structuring and revenue treatment.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex revenue and billing matters, ensuring compliance and operational rigor.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a revenue team, establishing clear accountability, documentation standards, and scalable processes.
  • Design and implement system enhancements and ERP/CRM integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to automate manual workflows and support growth.
  • Ensure audit readiness through strong reconciliations, documentation, and internal controls.
  • Own revenue-related monthly close activities and deliver accurate reporting and forecasting support.
