WHY: The purpose of this role is to lead other leaders in shaping and executing strategies that advance our 5-year vision for GPS-ME-RESS. This includes driving organizational lighthouse goals—such as achieving industry best in processes and equipment innovation, capital equipment efficiency and manufacturing cost per unit. WHAT: As a Senior Manager, you will provide strategic direction and empower managers and technical experts to deliver results through their teams, ensuring alignment to business priorities and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. You will work to make the RESS manufacturing system best in class as compared to outside competition with lowest HPU, MCPU, and Capital metrics. HOW: By guiding and developing leaders who support our plants, removing barriers, and enabling cross-functional alignment to make it happen for our customers—delivering operational excellence and accelerating transformation across Global Manufacturing. Work Arrangement - Onsite The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 25% of domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally within automotive, with a record of leading through industry shifts.
  • Prior experience in RESS pack and module manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts and lead diverse teams toward future excellence.
  • Demonstrated project and program management expertise, with deep understanding of automotive systems, program launches, and technology evolution.
  • Strong passion for people development, mentoring, and building team capability.
  • Experience managing complex operations and launches across multiple locations.
  • Proven expertise in design and execution of efficient highly automated manufacturing assembly and material handling equipment.
  • Track record of manufacturing processes optimization.

  • Ability to shape RESS products through multiple organizations including advance and product engineering
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing multiple suppliers globally with mind set of executing with certainty

  • Solve complex problems for manufacturing operations by anticipating challenges, removing obstacles, and guiding teams to deliver effective solutions that support our 5-year vision.
  • Drive enterprise-level impact by shaping strategies, policies, and processes that influence multiple plants and functions, ensuring scalability and sustainability of solutions.
  • Mentor and develop talent, fostering a people-first culture and building organizational capability to deliver on business needs.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, and program management team to synergize efforts.
  • Drive innovation in manufacturing process, equipment, and product strategy, supporting plant launches and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Lead Leaders engaged in preproduction build events including Road to Lab to Math (RLM)
