About The Position

The Senior Manager, Quality serves as the Quality Site Leader for the Fort Worth Landing Gear facility. This role is responsible for Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Compliance across all product lines, including OE military landing gear production, Aftermarket Services (spares), and production returns and repairs. The position ensures the ongoing effectiveness of the AS9100-certified Quality Management System and leads readiness and compliance under DCMA and customer oversight. This role interfaces directly with defense customers such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing, ensuring the organization consistently meets stringent customer and regulatory requirements. As a senior leader, the position shapes tactical and operational quality plans, influences cross-functional teams, and drives significant improvements across processes and systems. You will work onsite in our Haltom City, TX facility. This position will provide relocation assistance.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Quality teams in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing and maintaining an AS9100/AS9110-certified Quality Management System, or equivalent industry standards
  • Experience with quality engineering tools (PFMEA, MSA, root cause analysis, control plans, and PPAP elements)
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement certification. Inclusive of RTX CORE Champion certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Quality Site Leader in an assembly and test environment with safety-critical mechanical systems and special processes including heat treat, plating, and chemical processing.
  • Experience supporting defense customers
  • Demonstrated experience working with DCMA or other government oversight agencies and interfacing with third-party auditors and prime contractor quality personnel
  • ASQ CQM or CQE/CQI certifications; Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement certifications
  • Demonstrated experience in communication, customer engagement, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site Quality function including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Compliance activities.
  • Ensure the effectiveness and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (AS9100) including documentation, training, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain full readiness for DCMA and customer oversight, including source inspection, surveillance, corrective actions, and compliance to government contract requirements.
  • Provide quality leadership for OE production, AMS spares, and repair/return activities, ensuring conformance to engineering, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Direct Mission/Quality Assurance activities including independent technical assessments, risk mitigation, and program-level quality performance monitoring.
  • Drive proactive quality engineering methods such as PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans, PPAP elements, and escape management.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and systemic improvements to processes, systems, and products.
  • Serve as the senior quality interface with customers including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, regulatory bodies, DCMA, and certification auditors.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and configuration control integrity
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced quality professionals; manage performance, staffing, workforce planning, and capability development.
  • Develop short- to medium-term quality strategy and operational plans and drive execution to achieve measurable quality, cost, and delivery results.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to adopt necessary quality standards, processes, and practices.
