About The Position

The Senior Manager, Quality Control at ATCC is responsible for leading the Quality Control (QC) team to develop and maintain robust quality control systems that ensure all products meet stringent acceptance criteria. This role involves overseeing the QC team's performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing quality documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The position plays a key role in shaping organizational policies and supporting the global scientific community with trusted biological materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' experience, including 4 or more years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.
• Proven experience in managing quality control systems and documentation.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative work processes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Ability to provide guidance on SOPs, work instructions, and department policies.
• Expertise in supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities and troubleshooting existing products.

Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Control scientific staff to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the development and performance of the QC team, ensuring high service quality and operational efficiency.
• Provide decisive leadership in employment decisions, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and terminations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QC organization by optimizing technologies and implementing innovative work processes.
• Spearhead efforts to enhance QC processes through the optimization of technologies and the implementation of innovative work methods.
• Manage quality system documentation of records, forms, manuals, and instructions.
• Ensure the generation, approval, and maintenance of GMP documents.
• Oversee audits and testing to guarantee compliance with quality standards, and effectively communicate quality objectives to Senior Management.
