Capital One is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to lead project management with a focus on risk mitigation and control implementation. In this role, you will be at the intersection of operations, product, and technology, driving initiatives that enhance our platform's security, compliance, and overall customer experience. You will lead a team responsible for leading key initiatives, partnering closely with Risk, Product, and Technology teams to design, implement, and maintain robust controls across the Payments ecosystem. This Senior Manager will lead a team of at least 3 associates and will be pivotal in several key objectives: Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on delivering secure and compliant payment solutions. Partner with Risk Management to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks within the Card Inbound Payments platform. Collaborate with Product Management and Technology teams to integrate effective controls into the design and development of new and existing payment features. Oversee the project management lifecycle for control-related initiatives, ensuring timely execution, clear communication, and adherence to quality standards. Drive the implementation of preventive controls to minimize risk events and improve operational efficiency. Manage projects related to payment modernization efforts, ensuring seamless transitions, robust control coverage, and minimal customer impact. Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining a strong focus on compliance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments, including Risk, Product, Technology, Operations, Legal, and Compliance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to track progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Champion a culture of risk awareness and proactive problem-solving within the team and across stakeholder groups. Are you the right fit?
