About The Position

At Boston Scientific, the Senior Program Management role provides vision and leadership related to Global Quality Initiatives. This role is responsible for leading programs related to Best4 Quality Strategy, Quality Management projects (QMPs) as well as specific projects identified as priorities by Senior Quality leadership. Responsibilities include development and execution of a program plan to deliver the desired project outcomes, identification of staffing and resource requirements, managing the project deliverables, and driving projects to completion. These responsibilities span from program initiation to completion. This individual would be responsible for leading large scale global projects and implementing key aspects of the Quality organization’s strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10 years of related work experience and 3+ years of project management experience required
  • Experience in Quality / Quality Systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, domestic and international

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with as a project lead for larger-scale projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work in undefined, strategic spaces and show meaningful results
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Strong organization, execution, and communication skills will be required, as well as a demonstrated ability to lead and work with a cross-functional team.
  • Candidate must be comfortable in front of all levels of the organization
  • Experience in pharmaceutical regulations and/or combination device requirements is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Develops and implements project plan, including cost, schedule, risk and performance for Quality projects
  • Builds team ownership and commitment to project plans
  • Provides structured thinking to project team on overall approach and delegates as appropriate
  • Directs and trains key project management processes.; personal accountability, and a commitment to results
  • Leads the team in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications.
  • Communications and Reviews: Responsible for team and cross-functional level communications
  • May act as liaison between the team and the Quality SLT
  • Defines and tracks key business unit metrics
  • Responsible for elevating critical business decisions on existing products to the appropriate management boards and/or functional managers.
  • Relationship/People Management: Provides input to functional Managers/Directors on team and team member performance
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with functional heads to drive success of Core Team members and overall Core Team contributions
  • Influences cross-functional collaboration.
  • Process Management: Quality System knowledge through delivery of high quality and high impact deliverables
  • Actively reviews policy and practice improvements to drive functional excellence
  • Influences cross-functional systems effectiveness
  • Financial management – budget, forecast, and strategic plan input and preparation.
