About The Position

The Senior Manager, Program Management at Collins Aerospace plays a critical role in overseeing complex subcontract management and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This position involves acting as a business advisor, leading negotiations with suppliers, and managing contract performance for significant programs, including those exceeding $50 million. The role requires a high degree of independence and creativity in problem-solving, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as Business Advisor to internal customers, providing market knowledge and supply chain solutions.
  • Plans and leads negotiations with suppliers.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Contracts and Legal to establish favorable terms and conditions.
  • Leads management of highly complex subcontracts and oversees contract performance.
  • Briefs Senior Leadership and attends cadence reviews with suppliers and upper management.
  • Responsible for multiple subcontract products and services on assigned programs.
  • Makes supplier visits to enforce adherence to contracts and schedules.
  • Serves as the primary contact for internal customers, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Acts as the official company representative regarding legal requirements and customer specifications.
  • Searches for and investigates qualified suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Develops new supply sources as needed.
  • Determines methods and procedures for new or special assignments independently.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
  • Serves as the spokesperson for the organization on policies, programs, and objectives.
  • Manages programs of moderate risk or complexity, or portions of larger programs.
