Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a leading designer and manufacturer of focal plane arrays and flight-based camera systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. RVS is split into two manufacturing operations groups: (1) Focal Plane Operations & (2) Camera & Sensor Packaging. This role is nested within Camera & Sensor Packaging. The prospective hire will supervise a team of 15 - 20 Materials Planning SIOP analysts all of which sit in one of three administration areas at the local Goleta campus. In this position, you will set the day-to-day objectives for your direct reports while also owning the long-term strategy and operational direction of the camera and sensor packaging production control team. You will assist your direct reports in coordinating efforts with quality, manufacturing engineering, and other support groups to process discrepant material in a timely fashion. Additionally, you will assist the Associate Director in managing department budgets and lead the implementation of inventory control, ensuring that monthly and yearly inventory activities (cycle counts) are achieved. This is a "working manager" position, where approximately 30% - 40% of your weekly work schedule will be devoted to report generation, high-level analysis, and staff management. The remaining work time will be used to support direct program activities as an individual contributor. You will utilize MRP systems (SAP), UX interface (CMES), Microsoft Suite, and other software applications to analyze data and create reports, which may be ad-hoc as requested by your manager for publication within or outside of the department. You will also implement plans and prepare data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items, and other parts as required, ensuring that material master data is accurate and compliant in conjunction with engineering. Setting material and assembly priorities with factory management, value stream leads, and program management will be essential to ensure adherence to the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
