The Senior Manager, Product & Technology Portfolio Management on the Global Portfolio Management team is responsible for enabling enterprise technology investment prioritization, orchestrating cross-team planning and alignment, governing PDLC processes and controls, and driving data stewardship and reporting. This role partners closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Program/Project Management, and Agile Tools Enablement to deliver high-quality portfolio management and governance. This is a strategic and operational role that helps portfolio leadership (Product and Technology heads) effectively plan, prioritize, and administer their development roadmap while ensuring adherence to enterprise requirements around prioritization, PDLC, resource management, and governance. The role demands strong accountability in a complex, evolving environment and exceptional cross-functional communication skills at the senior stakeholder level. Blending strategy and execution, the ideal candidate will support product leadership in articulating portfolio strategy in business and technical terms while governing tactical processes related to PDLC, capacity planning, work estimation, Jira data integrity, and reporting. This role will champion our commitment to “measure what matters” by leveraging system-generated data over anecdotal evidence, requiring relentless attention to detail, data stewardship, and advanced reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in portfolio, product, program, or technology business management roles.
  • Expert-level experience in Big Room Planning and scaled agile planning frameworks.
  • Strong experience designing and optimizing Jira for large, complex organizations.
  • Proven ability in capacity planning, forecasting, and delivery metrics .
  • Deep understanding of Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated success in technology portfolio management and governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Jira Align, Power BI).
  • High sense of ownership, urgency, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Big Room Planning (BRP): Design, facilitate, and govern enterprise-level planning events to align priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines across multiple teams. Translate BRP outcomes into actionable roadmaps and commitments.
  • J ira System Design & Data Stewardship: Architect and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and reporting structures to support scaled product and engineering operations. Serve as the portfolio’s Jira subject matter expert, ensuring systematic data accuracy for statuses, estimates, and actuals.
  • Capacity Planning & Metrics: Develop and maintain capacity models for engineering and product teams to optimize resource allocation. Define and track KPIs for delivery predictability, velocity, and throughput.
  • Portfolio Governance & PDLC Compliance: Drive adherence to PDLC processes and controls across all initiatives. Govern Product and Technology leaders to align roadmaps with enterprise portfolio processes and systems.
  • Planning & Reporting Cadence: Lead annual, quarterly, and continuous planning processes for the portfolio in partnership with Product, PMO, and Engineering. Design and deliver monthly and quarterly business readouts for executive leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Administer intake, triage, and prioritization of new initiatives. Create and maintain information hubs (SharePoint, Confluence) for stakeholder engagement. Support evolution of reporting capabilities by defining requirements for tools and dashboards.
