The Senior Manager, Product Security and Risk Management is responsible for overseeing US-related product security activities aimed at preventing, detecting, and responding to issues such as counterfeit, illicit trade, and theft of Novo Nordisk products. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and security measures are in place.

  • Conduct market analysis and controlled test purchases to identify product and brand protection risks and perform risk assessments.
  • Manage counterfeit, illicit trade/diversion, and product theft investigations within the US.
  • Collaborate with Global Security on US portions of global investigations and implement global security procedures in the US.
  • Coordinate and participate in complex investigations with internal stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for external stakeholders regarding Novo Nordisk products and supply chain operations.
  • Report and update local product security activities in the global security case management system.
  • Manage cargo security vendors and support warehouse security activities.
  • Lead and participate in the Local Product Protection Forum (LPPF).
  • Develop internal awareness for product security reporting and ensure LPPF efficiency.
  • Engage external stakeholders through law enforcement awareness activities and patient awareness initiatives.
  • Support DSCSA compliance efforts and participate in product-related working groups.
  • Assist with emergency response and crisis management activities related to employee safety and security.
  • Conduct additional product security-related activities as requested by the Director of Risk Management.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in Corporate Security, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in corporate product security and investigations.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pharmaceutical or related industry experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of global supply chain structure and operations.
  • Proven stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Advanced degree in applicable discipline may be substituted for 2 years' experience.
