The Senior Manager, Product Owner for the Learning Management System (LMS) at Pfizer is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and overall success of the My Essential Learning LMS (SAP Success Factors). This role focuses on enhancing the learner experience and ensuring that the LMS meets critical business needs while delivering exceptional user experiences. The Product Owner will manage the entire lifecycle of the LMS, collaborating with various stakeholders to align the product roadmap with enterprise strategy and business objectives.

  • Manage the entire life cycle of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Pfizer Partner Learning Solution (PPLS), including purpose, definition, design, planning, development, prototyping, and testing.
  • Apply design thinking techniques to define product features and develop the roadmap based on effort sizing and overall value to the business.
  • Collaborate with development teams and the business for sprint reviews.
  • Utilize scrum/agile development techniques and tools for team collaboration, product testing, issue tracking, and backlog management.
  • Translate product vision and business/user needs into prioritized user stories for the product backlog.
  • Deliver ongoing initiatives and releases for efficiency and improved user experiences leveraging user-centric design principles and data.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met and maintain up-to-date documentation and system configuration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems impacting multiple divisions.
  • Serve as Chair of the Global Learning & Development Technology Steering Committee, managing governance and content for meetings.
  • Lead enterprise LMS system upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Pfizer Digital/Business QA, Legal, and Compliance to perform risk analysis and resolve quality issues related to the LMS.
  • Manage third-party vendors providing services for the Centralized Learning Administration Team, including contract oversight and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-divisional enterprise learning administration forums and Communities of Practice.
  • Develop and manage enterprise LMS communications, training, and documentation.
  • Manage financials, budgets, and forecasts for the LMS.
  • 7+ years' experience in the Information Technology space with a BA/BS or equivalent.
  • Experience with product management.
  • Direct experience working in Agile/Lean Development methodology.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in the Learning Technology space.
  • Experience contributing to and executing against product visions, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Ability to analyze user metrics and turn them into actionable insights.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience with implementing learning and development technical solutions (e.g., SAP Success Factors, Degreed).
  • Certification in Agile and Scrum development practices.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
