About The Position

This Sr. Manager role leads a high-performing team of Technical Product Managers, Product Owners, and Platform Engineers responsible for the design, development, and delivery of a critical product or portfolio within the T-Mobile for Business IT team. The focus of this role is on driving technical product strategy, crafting platform capabilities, and ensuring effective execution from concept through delivery. This leader partners closely with engineering, architecture, design, and business partners to help develop product direction, prioritize backlogs, and translate complex technical requirements into scalable, customer-centric solutions. They are accountable for maintaining product roadmaps in alignment with business priorities and in partnership with enterprise architecture, while supporting strong technical design and high-quality delivery. The role supervises a team of 20+ employees and contractors across product management and engineering-related fields, with a strong emphasis on building technical depth, product thinking, and execution excellence within the team. A key responsibility is attracting, developing, and retaining top technical product talent while encouraging a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Success in this role is measured by the team’s ability to deliver scalable, reliable product capabilities, support platform maturity, and effectively bridge business needs with technical execution. This leader plays a meaningful role in enhancing organizational capabilities and customer experience through well-architected products, strong platform foundations, and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience. (Required)
  • 7-10 years Relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment. (Required)
  • 2-4 years Experience in a leadership role. (Required)
  • 2-4 years Experience managing teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in a Product Management organization. (Preferred)
  • Agile Methodologies: Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools. (Required)
  • Technical Writing: Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences. (Required)
  • Agile Project Management: Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools. (Required)
  • Collaboration: Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest. (Required)
  • Technology: Experience in delivering large and sophisticated business/technology initiatives. (Required)
  • Communication: Proven ability to effectively and efficiently connect with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders. (Required)
  • Business Analysis Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data. (Required)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years Experience managing teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in a Product Management organization. (Preferred)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a multi-functional team of Technical Product Managers, Product Owners, and Platform Engineers responsible for planning, solution development, and delivery of business and IT initiatives within TFB
  • Manage technical product and engineering teams to deliver results through direction, feedback, and performance management
  • Define and implement continuous improvement practices across technical disciplines and organizational processes
  • Oversee technical vendor relationships to incorporate feature and function requests into product releases
  • Drive and maintain the current and future technical roadmap in collaboration with design and architecture teams
  • Recruit and hire qualified managers and team members to strengthen product and project teams
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
