Under the supervision of VP Venue Operations & Technology Procurement, the Senior Manager Procurement will provide support along with the development and execution of procurement strategies across the organization for all Venues. The Senior Manager Procurement is responsible for supporting, partnering and collaborating strategic sourcing strategies for all related spend across Venue Operations including Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theater, Madison Square Garden, The Sphere etc. The key objectives of this position are to work with and understand the stakeholder needs, cost drivers of the businesses, remove and/or reduce costs while ensuring required product/service quality and supplier performance metrics are maintained with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience across various categories including venue operations, facilities management as well as technology.
  • Experience negotiating highly complex agreements for venue operations as well as understanding total cost of ownership including maintenance agreements with defined SLAs.
  • Ability to translate goals into Procurement opportunities as well as effectively communicate progress.
  • Ability to perform detailed comparative financial analysis and present summary findings to Executive Management in a logical and concise manner.
  • Must have technical depth in procurement best practices - particularly in procurement transformation strategies, and process and improvements with focus on complete procure-to-pay processes.
  • Hands-on experience with obtaining bids as well as use of a procurement system (Coupa experience is a Plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills, and good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Procurement strategy for all MSG Ventures related projects.
  • Prepare RFQ and RFP bidder documentation to distribute to potential project vendors and contractors.
  • Manage the competitive bidding process and assist team in evaluating proposals and negotiating best value including potential partnership opportunities.
  • Reviewing and approving requisitions for goods or services associated with projects managed.
  • Collaborate with the business leaders to evaluate Venue Ops investment plans and identify sourcing opportunities and strategies to drive the sourcing pipeline and deliver cost savings.
  • Utilize analytical experience to create and evaluate total cost of ownership models, assist clients in delivering measurable cost savings and/or quality improvement and contingency supply strategies.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement in all activities and compliance with company policies and directives.
  • Monitor and manage supplier/service provider relationships to ensure established performance standards are met, resolve dispute situations as needed, and monitor client satisfaction with goods and/or services provided.
  • Partner with Venue Ops stakeholders in the contract administration of all initiatives/projects and annual budget planning.
