About The Position

Global Procurement is responsible for sourcing of goods and services not for resale (GNFR). This responsibility spans end-to-end procurement; from collaborating with our business partners and developing requirements to negotiating with suppliers to deliver best in class supplier partnerships. Global Procurement adds value through ensuring quality and service levels are met, negotiating savings, driving innovation, adhering to compliance, and focusing on supplier diversity and sustainability. Procurement is responsible for the selection of suppliers and their overall performance on behalf of the business teams we support. The Senior Manager, Procurement is a primary steward of our company; you'll engage with numerous suppliers while working alongside a forward-thinking team in supporting stakeholders throughout Walmart. You will collaborate with your stakeholders in researching, building, and executing category and supplier strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field.
  • 6 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
  • Analytical capabilities to analyze market trends, pricing data, supplier performance metrics, and contract terms to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Expertise or experience in Pulp industry.
  • Expert on the end-to-end procurement process.
  • Experience obtaining Stakeholder alignment.
  • Proficient in developing Sourcing Strategies.
  • Great eye for detail and experience negotiating contracts with vendors.
  • Organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledgeable of procurement technology such as Coupa Sourcing.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Purchasing Manager or related purchasing manager certification.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.
  • Master's degree in business or related field.
  • Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement world-class supply base management.
  • Deliver best in class savings and cash efficiency through RFP, negotiation, TCO and using innovative value levers.
  • Leverage system and process to ensure consistency.
  • Develop and lead contract negotiations with vendors, while collaborating with the business stakeholders and legal team.
  • Model historic and real time market data to identify the right suppliers to support our company objectives.
  • Identify and meet with both internal and external teams to drive value and deliver savings.
  • Maximize relationships with new and existing suppliers, understanding, and evaluating their products and capabilities and negotiating advantageous rates.
  • Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
