SUMMARY Responsible for the day to day management of Insurance Payables and Accounts Receivable departments. Monitor and analyze department workload, and develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of customer service and accuracy. Actively participate in their own professional development and the development of their team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the Insurance Payables team and ensure timely and accurate disbursements of customer’s insurance premiums and/or return premiums.Manage the Accounts Receivable team and oversee cash receipts, payments/credits on accounts, write-offs, premium financing and related functions.Develop and review the methods and reporting used to monitor and analyze the department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Develop and maintain good controls over commission differences, credits, advances, and unapplied payments.Identify and assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflows of the department.Participate in acquisition integration discussions and complete action items as needed.Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.Manage and mentor team leads and premium accounting department staff.Provide employee training and necessary tools needed to perform duties.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of education and experienceEight (8) or more years of experience in Accounting or FinanceFive (5) or more years of managerial experienceInsurance brokerage experienceSKILLSProficient in Microsoft Office productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood leadership, problem solving, and time management skillsAdvanced analytical skillsGood planning, organizational, and prioritization skillsAbility and motivation to work independentlyAbility to interface with executives – internal and externalInfrequent travel (0-10%)#LI-DR2
