About The Position

The Senior Manager, Planning & Lighting Services supports the successful delivery of Evari’s contracted services, with primary responsibility for managing project execution, operational performance, and technical quality across lighting and related projects and programs. This role focuses on day-to-day delivery leadership, team coordination, and client service, while developing broader practice leadership skills. Lighting services remain a core focus area, with opportunities to support GIS-enabled planning and infrastructure programs. Working closely with executive leadership and senior technical staff, this individual will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, consistently, and to high professional standards. This position is ideal for an experienced professional ready to take the next step into senior operational leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, geography, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in lighting, infrastructure consulting, GIS-supported planning, or related professional services
  • Experience supporting project and contract management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams
  • Familiarity with public-sector consulting environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certification (AICP, GISP, PE, LC)
  • Experience with GIS, municipal/utility asset management, or other digital platforms
  • Prior municipal or utility consulting experience
  • Interest in long-term leadership development

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations for assigned contracts and programs
  • Support delivery of lighting, infrastructure, and GIS-enabled projects
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, and resources
  • Track project performance, budgets, and timelines
  • Support quality control and technical review of deliverables
  • Implement and improve delivery workflows and processes
  • Serve as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on select projects
  • Support scope, schedule, and budget management
  • Lead small to mid-sized multidisciplinary project teams
  • Coordinate field, technical, and analytical staff
  • Prepare and review reports, plans, and client deliverables
  • Support development and implementation of lighting master plans and audits
  • Apply relevant lighting standards and best practices
  • Assist with photometric modeling and field data collection
  • Support digital twin and asset management tools
  • Maintain regular communication with assigned clients
  • Participate in client meetings, briefings, and presentations
  • Support client satisfaction and contract compliance
  • Assist in identifying follow-on work opportunities
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff
  • Support staff training and professional development
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Assist with proposal development and cost estimating
  • Support staffing and delivery planning for pursuits
  • Contribute to client outreach and relationship building
