About The Position

The Clinician Engagement Manager supports Artivion’s physician relations strategy by maintaining high-quality clinician information systems, coordinating and delivering exceptional physician engagement programs, and ensuring seamless execution of surgeon-facing events.This individual manages the operational and communication components of surgeon touch points, and helps create a polished, consistent, and impactful engagement experience. The role blends responsibilities typical of a marketing communications manager, event coordinator, and administrative partner—requiring exceptional organization, collaboration, professionalism, and execution skills.

Requirements

  • 7+ more years of experience in medical device, biotechnology, health care, marketing communications, events, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating physician-facing events, advisory boards, educational programs, or customer engagement initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across commercial, clinical, marketing, and medical affairs functions.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce and refine surgeon-facing materials that are polished and professional.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and customer relationship management platforms.
  • Excellent collaboration capabilities, with a friendly, thoughtful, and engaging interpersonal style.
  • Proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and work independently while ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Event planning expertise, including logistics, coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Administrative strength, including documentation management, contract tracking, and consistent follow-through.
  • Understanding of compliant health care professional engagement practices.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–25% to support physician events, advisory boards, and other key surgeon engagement activities.

  • Familiarity with cardiovascular, vascular, or surgical technologies is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Physician Information and Engagement Infrastructure Maintain, update, and optimize the clinician information database, ensuring accurate and complete records on surgeon expertise, institutional affiliations, engagement history, event participation, and communication preferences.
  • Track and manage surgeon involvement in advisory boards, clinical programs, events, and ongoing engagements to support strategic planning.
  • Event Planning and Execution Coordinate and execute physician relations events, including advisory boards, focus groups, and key surgeon meetings across the United States.
  • Own logistics such as scheduling, invitations, agenda development, speaker coordination, travel arrangements, materials preparation, and on-site event support.
  • Ensure all events uphold Artivion’s commitment to professionalism, compliance, and high-quality clinician engagement.
  • Document meeting outcomes by preparing summaries, action items, and follow-up plans.
  • Key Opinion Leader and Surgeon Engagement Support Support surgeons by preparing, editing, and refining presentation materials, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Research and Development and Clinical teams to gather accurate content and ensure alignment with Artivion’s messaging.
  • Customize, clean, and format surgeon slide decks so they are polished, consistent, and ready for external presentations.
  • Assist in developing digital and online content for surgeon education, virtual events, and professional online presence, ensuring quality, style alignment, and compliance.
  • Identify ongoing, compliant ways to engage key opinion leaders—such as customized communications, personalized outreach, and annual or seasonal touchpoints.
  • Contracting and Administrative Support Partner with Legal, Compliance, and internal stakeholders to support physician contract management, including initiating agreements, preparing documentation, routing for approval, tracking status, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Manage all administrative components of physician engagement, including compliance documentation, budget tracking, Fair Market Value paperwork, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain project calendars, task lists, and planning tools to ensure smooth, timely execution of initiatives.
  • Team Support and Partnership Provide proactive, thoughtful support to the Vice President of Global Physician Relations and Upstream Marketing in the execution of annual physician engagement plans, priorities, and communication strategies.
  • Bring a polished, collaborative, solutions-oriented approach that strengthens the overall effectiveness of the Physician Relations function.
