We are looking for a self-motivated sales support professional to help execute our market expansion strategy and grow our client base. The Senior Manager, Participant Experience Consultant will have retirement plan industry experience and a deep understanding of the Schwab Retirement Plan Services (SRPS) participant experience and sales model across all market segments. You will support our National Market.

  • Partner with the National Sales, Business Acceptance and Proposal teams as a business expert for all aspects of the SRPS participant experience, including communications, technology (web/mobile), education delivery, call center, and advice/managed accounts
  • Help develop effective strategies to depict the participant experience during the sales process
  • Effectively articulate and demonstrate the entirety of the participant experience in live and virtual presentation settings
  • Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and provide input on directional issues and decisions
  • Track sales assignments, activity, and outcomes, and maintain up-to-date and accurate data
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • A minimum of 5 years of retirement plan industry experience combined with expertise directly related to participant communications, education, and advice
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational lines, build productive relationships quickly, and instill trust and confidence through a personal work ethic and standards of the highest level
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to impart confidence with executives who are typically in decision-maker roles
  • Strong listening, interpersonal and consulting skills to interact with different levels within the prospect/consultant organization
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments at a given time
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage through issues and constraints
  • Strong knowledge of competitors' products, services, strengths, and weaknesses in the retirement plan industry
  • Extensive travel
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales support or pre-sales experience
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or other similar industry designation preferred
