Senior Manager, Operations - Wet Side Where will you work: This role oversees operations at both the Bartow and South Pierce locations and is eligible for a 9/80 schedule, allowing every other Friday off. The Senior Manager, Operations – Wet Side is responsible for leading and directing Wet Side operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while meeting quality, cost, and environmental objectives. This role provides operational oversight across multiple locations and plays a critical leadership role in maintaining a strong safety culture within a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School/GED is required.
  • 10+ years of progressive supervisory leadership experience in a chemical, heavy industrial, or hazardous manufacturing environment
  • Strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication, process improvement and management of multiple priorities
  • PI, OIS, SAP, Process knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in engineering (chemical, mechanical, electrical, mining), business management, or business administration
  • Extensive directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience leading large hourly teams in a union or collective bargaining environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience at a superintendent or equivalent operational leadership level is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations, establish priorities to ensure production quality and compliance with safety and environmental regulations and efficient plant operation
  • Develop and manage short and long-term capital spending plans and expense budget management from $20MM to $150MM
  • Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and business goals and performance standards.
  • Manage performance issues when necessary and develop/coach employees to retain and grow organizational talent.
  • Maximize operating factors, minimize costs and attain production goals. In conjunction develop improvement projects and establish implementation plans.
  • Plan and/or direct operation/maintenance activities that maintain area system integrity.
  • Support major plant turnarounds, including preparation and execution of the upcoming sulfuric acid plant turnaround, and lead five‑year capital planning activities
