About The Position

Sam’s Club is transforming the associate and member experience through technology-enabled operations. As the Senior Manager, Operations & Implementation, you will lead the rollout, optimization, and continuous improvement of associate-facing technology platforms across clubs. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Operations and Product, partnering closely with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure new tools and platforms are built with field realities in mind and implemented in ways that drive adoption, simplicity, and measurable business results. You won’t just deploy tools, you will shape how they work in real club environments, ensuring our associate apps and operational platforms are intuitive, scalable, and performance-driven. What you'll do... Lead the end-to-end implementation of associate-facing technology and operational platforms, translating product strategy into scalable execution plans that drive adoption, simplify workflows, and deliver measurable improvements across clubs. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Field Leadership, and enterprise stakeholders to ensure tools are built with real-world operational insight, influencing decisions across time zones and aligning teams around shared performance outcomes. Design, optimize, and continuously improve operational processes and associate apps, ensuring they are intuitive, executable at the club level, and supported by sustainable rollout and change management plans. Drive measurable business impact by identifying operational gaps, removing barriers to execution, and establishing clear performance standards, tracking adoption and adjusting strategies to ensure results. Maintain a strong field presence through monthly travel, evaluating new technology in live club environments, gathering feedback, and refining platforms to enhance associate experience and operational excellence. What you’ll bring… Strong operational leadership experience in multi-unit retail, club, or field-based environments. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving product and technology teams. Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders without direct authority in relationship-heavy environments. High level of technical curiosity and comfort — able to partner credibly with product teams and translate technology into operational execution. Experience building, deploying, or optimizing associate-facing tools, platforms, or operational systems. Field or club experience strongly preferred — you understand how execution really happens at store level. Ability to work effectively across time zones and manage enterprise-level partnerships. Willingness to travel monthly to clubs to evaluate and refine technology implementation. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify performance gaps and implement sustainable solutions. Requirements

  • Strong operational leadership experience in multi-unit retail, club, or field-based environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving product and technology teams.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders without direct authority in relationship-heavy environments.
  • High level of technical curiosity and comfort — able to partner credibly with product teams and translate technology into operational execution.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Supply Chain, Communications, or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail, production, operations management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in retail, production, operations management, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.
