About The Position

Marketing Intelligence is a new, high-impact function within Sam's Club's Marketing organization. As the Senior Manager of Operations Analytics & Marketing Intelligence, you'll lead efforts to connect marketing activities to business outcomes and tell a consistent, data-driven story of how our campaigns drive growth. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and innovation, and is passionate about leveraging AI and advanced analytics to optimize performance marketing and paid media investments.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise: 7+ years in marketing analytics, operations analytics, or related fields, with experience in performance marketing and media optimization.
  • Technical depth: Strong skills in SQL, Python, and advanced analytics tools; proficiency in visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
  • AI mindset: Experience applying AI/ML techniques to marketing analytics and a passion for driving innovation through technology.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to connect marketing metrics to business objectives and influence executive decision-making.
  • Leadership excellence: Track record of building and mentoring teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional ability to craft stories from data and present insights to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Marketing Intelligence function: Establish frameworks that measure marketing effectiveness and ladder up to enterprise objectives.
  • Drive performance insights: Develop and implement media mix models, campaign performance optimization strategies, and paid media analytics to improve ROI.
  • Tell the story: Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate how marketing activities impact business results.
  • Partner for success: Collaborate with world-class data and analytics teams to deliver actionable insights and scalable solutions.
  • Lead innovation: Champion AI-driven approaches for marketing analytics and ensure the team is equipped to leverage emerging technologies.
  • Influence decisions: Present insights to senior leadership and guide strategic investments across marketing channels.
  • Mentor and grow talent: Build a high-performing team focused on continuous learning and cutting-edge analytics practices.

  • The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
