About The Position

Greenlight America is seeking a Senior Manager, Office of the CEO to partner closely with the CEO and help ensure his time and attention are focused on the priorities where he has the greatest impact on the organization. As Greenlight continues to grow rapidly, this role will play a critical part in strengthening how the CEO operates day to day — bringing greater consistency, preparation, and follow-through across the work that touches his office. This is a highly trusted, hands-on role that blends executive support, coordination, and problem-solving. The Senior Manager, Office of the CEO will work across teams to ensure the CEO is well-prepared for meetings, decisions, and external engagements; that information and requests flow to him in clear, usable ways; and that work moves forward reliably without requiring the CEO to manage every detail personally. The role will also help bring greater consistency and clarity to how work involving the CEO is prepared, coordinated, and followed through. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being close to leadership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and is thoughtful about how tools, processes, and systems can be used to make work easier and more effective. This role is well-suited for an ambitious, detail-oriented professional who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of professional experience, including meaningful experience supporting senior leaders in executive support, coordination, or closely adjacent roles (e.g., executive operations, program coordination).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical thinking, research, and operational problem-solving — such as making sense of large amounts of information, preparing materials, tracking complex workstreams, or supporting decision-making.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-growing organization, ideally having seen a team or organization scale and evolve over time.
  • Comfort providing executive support that spans administrative work, coordination, and higher-level problem-solving (not purely task-based support).
  • Strong judgment and expertise in prioritization, managing complex schedules, and helping safeguard an executive’s time, focus, and attention.
  • Proven ability to introduce structure and flexible systems that bring clarity and coordination, with the judgment to know when structure is helpful and when it isn’t.
  • Strong project management skills and comfort coordinating across internal teams and external partners.
  • High comfort with technology and digital tools used to support executive work, including Slack, Google Suite, and Asana
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including synthesizing information and drafting clear, concise materials.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to read people, dynamics, and context.
  • A proactive, anticipatory working style — able to see around corners and surface issues or solutions early.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, with strong follow-through and a calm, steady presence.
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style and genuine, relationship-oriented approach that builds trust quickly.
  • Alignment with Greenlight America’s mission and values; prior climate experience is not required, but curiosity about and interest in clean energy and climate issues is important.

  • familiarity with AI tools (e.g., drafting, research, organization, calendaring) is a plus.
