About The Position

The mission of Equitas Academy Charter Schools is to prepare students for college, careers, and life pursuits, and inspire them to be champions of equity. We currently serve over 2,000 students and operate seven schools, four elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles. The job of the Senior Manager of Student Enrollment is to to support the implementation of the overall network enrollment strategy, support the growth and development of enrollment team members, work with school-based operations teams to execute enrollment activities, including recruitment, registration and retention. This role will collaborate with the OPS team to achieve defined objectives by planning, evaluating, implementing short and long-term enrollment plans, as well as serve as a member of the Network Leadership Team. The Senior Manager of Student Enrollment reports to the Senior Managing Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, AA required
  • At least 3 years of experience with emphasis in student recruitment, sales, marketing, project management, relationship development, pipeline management or lifecycle programs preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Experience designing, implementing, and leading large scale projects
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-layered organization and build strong relationships with school leaders and other home office and school based colleagues
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation Equitas Academy’s short and long term sustainable student enrollment strategy to ensure all campuses are fully enrolled
  • Own central data analysis for enrollment across Equitas, including producing projections and reports, and responding to ad-hoc requests
  • Develop and execute marketing strategy and activities focused on recruitment and retention
  • Own all organic and paid marketing activities, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, print ads, direct mail and more
  • Delineate and codify roles and responsibilities for student recruitment and enrollment at the network and schools level
  • Partner with school-based leadership teams to develop individualized plans to reach full enrollment
  • Build capacity of school leaders and operations staff to engage families, scholars, staff on community needs
  • Develop best practices to ensure that branding is aligned in all outwards communication and increase brand visibility in and around local community
  • Foster partnerships with local community organizations
  • Oversee execution of events, canvassing and other recruitment efforts that drive student recruitment
  • Maintain systems to track effectiveness of recruitment efforts
  • Analyze data to recommend new strategies to overcome enrollment challenges
  • Ensure compliance with admissions, enrollment, and withdrawal policies
  • Provides leadership and development to team members and direct reports, which may include the Outreach Manager, Student Engagement Coordinator, Part-Time Student Enrollment Coordinator, and Part-Time Seasonal Recruiter(s)
