As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms organization, you will play a pivotal leadership role by offering technical coaching and advisory support to multiple technical teams.   • Provides overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
  • Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
  • Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders, including cloud platform engineering teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting and utilize a creative approach to devise solutions and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Influences peers and thought leaders to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
  • Experience leading teams of technologists while working at code-level in Python, Azure SDK, and proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Experience with Azure services (Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, Network)
  • Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and practical Azure cloud-native experience
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, including CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and Spinnaker
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with Azure policy writing, testing, knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, and a strong understanding of Azure policies and governance
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Understanding of Azure AI services is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of the services industry and their IT systems
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
