About The Position

As the Senior Manager of Quality for our Plasma & Reactive Gas business unit, you will leverage your extensive quality assurance experience to develop and implement quality strategies that ensure operational performance while adhering to all relevant standards. This pivotal role reports directly to the Director of Quality Engineering and is integral to the success of our business unit. You will be responsible for providing leadership that fosters a proactive approach to quality, driving improvements across design, manufacturing, suppliers, and customer interactions. In this role, you will lead monthly management reviews for the Plasma and Reactive Gas business units, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives that address key performance issues. Your efforts will include facilitating enhancements in new product development, quality initiatives, and customer interface processes to ensure that quality and reliability requirements are clearly defined, understood, and met. You will analyze customer returns and failure rates, providing in-depth trending analysis and updating quality metrics. Collaborating with Operations and Engineering, you will determine root causes of both field and in-process failures, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with a focus on systemic improvements. Utilizing problem-solving tools such as 8-Ds, 5 Whys, and Fishbones, you will facilitate problem-solving activities that enhance the organization. You will also implement various quality tools, including quality plans, process flows, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and DOE (Design of Experiments), to drive a culture of quality within the organization. Additionally, you will take ownership of the quality management system, manage the Internal Quality System Audit Program, and conduct Quality System Management Reviews, ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction.
