The Senior Manager of Project Management is the operational heartbeat of Fat Earth—driving clarity, efficiency, and excellence across all teams and client engagements. You’ll lead the Project Management function, overseeing cross-functional delivery, refining processes, and ensuring every project moves from concept to completion seamlessly. Sitting at the intersection of operations, client services, and creative execution, this role is both hands-on and highly strategic—responsible for guiding team performance while continuously improving how we work. You’ll spend your time leading a team of Project Managers and managing high-priority client accounts. The time will be split roughly 80/20 between direct client project execution and leadership responsibilities, with a utilization goal of 75–80% billable on client work at all times.

  • Guide and mentor Project Managers — as your direct reports, you will be responsible for their success and growth. Set standards for excellence, accountability, and proactive communication.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly (and at times daily) standups to ensure work flows smoothly across all accounts.
  • Communicate effectively to help team members understand and articulate client needs.
  • Contribute to building the larger operational future at Fat Earth by sharing frameworks, POVs, and process improvements.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between divisions to ensure client success and production run smoothly.
  • Oversee project execution across multiple accounts, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Conduct regular QA on PM deliverables—ensuring consistency, clarity, and operational excellence across the team.
  • Lead bi-weekly 1:1s with your direct reports.
  • Conduct annual reviews and peer pulse assessments.
  • Onboard new Project Managers successfully.
  • Define, document, and implement project management best practices, SLAs, and SOPs to improve consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Audit and optimize workflows to identify friction points and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of tools and systems in ClickUp to enhance project visibility, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Partner with leadership to evolve operational frameworks, resource planning systems, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain and update standardized templates, playbooks, and documentation to scale project management excellence company-wide.
  • Ensure the account-wide production timeline is accurate and up to date.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new tools, systems, and process enhancements to keep Fat Earth operating at the cutting edge of digital project management.
  • ClickUp Champion: Serve as the organization’s ClickUp expert, ensuring it is fully leveraged to manage timelines, task dependencies, and progress tracking.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients—building relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and results.
  • Manage scope, timelines, and deliverables proactively to avoid surprises and ensure alignment.
  • Communicate project updates and strategic recommendations clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Guide PMs in effective client communication and expectation management, especially during challenging or high-stakes situations.
  • Maintain monthly churn below 5% through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Roll out new PM frameworks and process improvements across teams, ensuring alignment, adoption, and measurable efficiency gains.
  • Document best practices and create SOPs for PMs and cross-functional partners.
  • Drive innovation by identifying new tools, systems, and process enhancements to keep Fat Earth operating at the cutting edge of digital project management.
  • Uphold exceptional quality standards for all deliverables, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and timeliness.
  • Continuously track, analyze, and report on team efficiency, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive process innovation and operational excellence that directly supports client satisfaction and retention goals.
  • Have 5+ years of experience leading project management or operations in a marketing or creative agency environment.
  • Are passionate about process, communication, and elevating team performance.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment where precision and clarity matter.
  • Balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Are deeply familiar with ClickUp or equivalent PM tools, and love building systems that scale.
