About The Position

Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. Senior Manager of Influencer Relations We are looking for a Senior Manager of Influencer Relations to join the Marketing team at athenahealth. In this role, the Senior Manager of Influencer Relations will lead the evolution of our Analyst Relations function at athenahealth into a modern, strategic Influencer Relations program. This role is designed for a healthcare-savvy communicator with experience managing relationships with HIT analyst firms, orchestrating high-impact influencer events, and managing C-Suite executive briefings. In addition to overseeing key analyst firm relationships, like KLAS and Gartner, this individual will lead program development and execution for Consultant Day, Private Equity Day, and Analyst Day. These hosted, in-person events aim to attract top-tier national and vertical-specific healthcare IT firms to discuss the collective needs of shared customers and identify opportunities for deeper collaboration. These events are a critical part of our strategy to build trusted relationships, uncover growth insights, and align on forward-looking healthcare technology priorities. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of healthcare technology domain knowledge, project leadership skills, and relationship-building acumen to support strategic reputation building. The Senior Manager of Influencer Relations will partner closely with Customer Advocacy, Segment Marketing, and Integrated Communications to ensure analyst coverage remains strong, while simultaneously expanding our reach and credibility through new influencer engagement programs.

  • Strong understanding of ambulatory EHRs and Practice Management, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access & Patient Engagement, VBC & population health, AI, and interoperability trends in ambulatory care.
  • 10+ years’ experience in corporate communications, analyst relations, and/or influencer strategy roles, ideally within the healthcare IT or healthcare services sector.
  • Previous responsibility managing KLAS relationships and coordinating executive performance reviews.
  • Experience planning and executing C-level roundtables, advisory boards, or influencer events.

  • Act as a relationship manager to key influencers, consultants, and investors in our ecosystem—building long-term trust and engagement.
  • Represent the company with polish and professionalism in external conversations and coach internal executives on influencer positioning and talking points.
  • Support internal teams and events, including briefings on analyst firm reports and analyst speaker needs.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry events where analyst engagements are expected.
  • Participate in and inform cross-departmental projects based on analyst findings, recommendations, and/or requests.
  • Support Government Affairs team with industry-impacting efforts, as applicable.
