About The Position

The Senior Manager of Individual Giving is responsible for raising vital philanthropic support for COSI through intentional relationship management and solicitation of individual prospects and donors, management of key individual giving campaigns, and the development and implementation of fundraising strategy to drive philanthropic revenue from individual donors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of progressive experience in a fundraising environment.
• Donor-centric fundraiser with experience soliciting and closing annual and major gifts from a managed portfolio.
• Project management experience and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative setting.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated, determined, and target-driven.
• Ability to build sustainable partnerships and cultivate diverse relationships.
• Problem solving skills, diplomacy, and professionalism.
• Ability to track, analyze, and share financial data in an accurate and comprehensive way.

• Experience creating and executing direct appeal mailings and digital communication a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicit support from a portfolio of 100-125 individuals in order to achieve annual contributed revenue goals.
• Increase philanthropic support from individual donors supporting COSI through identifying and qualifying new prospects, thoughtfully cultivating managed relationships, executing strategic solicitations, and provide excellent stewardship to assigned donors.
• Provide relationship coordination and support as needed for Philanthropy leadership, the COSI Executive Leadership Team, and Board development activity.
• Serve as project manager for COSI's Annual Fund and Donor Society appeals, including working with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and track appeals.
• Steward annual fund donors by making stewardship calls and extending personal invitations to attend COSI events.
• Serve as the liaison for COSI's KINETIC Emerging Leaders Board.
• In partnership with the Senior Director of Individual Giving and other Philanthropy leadership, develop and implement the strategy for the KINETIC Board to leverage their time, talent, and treasure to advance COSI's mission and vision.
• Manage the stewardship of individual donor support, implementing recognition and other strategic engagements for both managed relationships and those delegated by Philanthropy leadership and the COSI Executive Leadership Team.
• Develop a rich understanding of COSI's mission, vision, strategic plan, and portfolio of giving opportunities including giving programs, priority programs and initiatives, recognition levels, and benefits to ensure consistency among COSI's donor programs.
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Diversity and Equity to identify opportunities to increase the diversity of COSI's donor base and to further the organization's commitment to expand COSI's brand to engage more diverse audiences.
• Maintain a high standard for recording moves management in Salesforce and coordinating with other solicitors/supporting relationships.
• Track and report progress on accountabilities and established financial goals.
• Support general COSI operations through participation in meetings as appropriate.
• Serve as an example to other COSI Team Members and Volunteers in matters of appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Provide excellence in Guest Services by assuring Guest safety, using courtesy to drive each Guest interaction, by delivering the COSI show, and by keeping operations efficient.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Individual Giving.
