About The Position

The Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications - HR & Finance is responsible for driving the strategy behind the applications portfolio for RaceTrac's HR and Finance teams. This individual is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions and enabling business results through systems & applications acquisitions & enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year College or University, with a focus on Information Technology or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 7 years' experience working within an enterprise application portfolio, retail or convenience store environment preferred.
  • Prior experience managing Workday HCM & FINS required.
  • 2+ years in a managerial role required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment; recognize and react to changing business needs.
  • Possesses a strong executive presence with excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overarching strategy behind the applications for which they are responsible, considering best practice as well as organizational and user needs.
  • Gains in-depth knowledge of organization and user needs and provide information about capabilities, changes, and technical limitations of software; recommends enhancements to current technologies or evaluates new technologies to best fit user needs.
  • Drives process improvement initiatives that increase efficiencies and simplifies the lives of our team members and guests.
  • Strengthens key external vendor relationships to maximize effectiveness of business partner's application portfolio.
  • Remains ahead of industry trends, business practices, and processes, within areas of responsibility, to strengthen business partner's application portfolio.
  • Ensures all decisions, projects, and process improvements are aligned with the Enterprise Applications team's strategic vision.
  • Develops direct reports; fosters a positive team culture aligned with RaceTrac Core Values.
  • Manages projects that drive streamlined processes and improved efficiencies through completion.
  • Models and promotes RaceTrac's Core Values, Leadership Qualities, and The RaceTrac Way throughout personal interactions and department work.
  • Introduces new technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
