About The Position

SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Ambulatory and Provider Services provides daily operational oversight for the outpatient clinic. This role ensures high standards of patient access, service delivery, and care coordination in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams. Reporting to the Executive Director of Ambulatory & Rehab Services, the Senior Manager, Ambulatory and Provider Services is responsible for supervising frontline staff, managing budgets, optimizing workflows, and supporting strategic initiatives that enhance patient experience and clinical efficiency. The Senior Manager, Ambulatory and Provider Services oversees physician compliance and regulatory services for all providers across La Rabida Children’s Hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (required).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in outpatient practice or ambulatory operations.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission and other regulatory guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or similar (preferred).
  • Familiarity with pediatric care environments or family-centered service models strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direct daily operations of the outpatient clinic, including front desk, Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Admitting Registration, Patient Service Representatives.
  • Monitor patient flow, scheduling, access, billing and collections performance to meet service expectations.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate clinic staff, ensuring a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Manage staffing plans, schedules, and timekeeping processes in alignment with budget and patient volume.
  • Lead quality improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Partner with providers, nursing, and hospital leadership to coordinate care and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Address patient/family/caregiver concerns and feedback to ensure a compassionate and responsive experience.
  • Monitor supply usage, budget variances, and operational metrics; contribute to financial planning and reporting.
  • Coordinates vaccine services to ensure provision of safe, consistent, standardized care (VFC, Supplies…etc)
  • Collaborate with providers to optimize workflows, documentation, and EHR utilization
  • Support implementation of new workflows, digital health tools, or clinical services in collaboration with COIO and IT, and The Executive Director of Ambulatory & Rehab Services
  • Works to ensure regulatory compliance for all provider services including credentialing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
