As the Senior Manager of Physician Practice, you will have the opportunity to combine a passion for patient care with strong leadership and team-building skills. In this critical role, you will help drive a positive patient experience by overseeing both daily operations and the execution of short- and long-term strategic initiatives. You will lead a team of three Supervisors who support both clerical and clinical staff, as well as Physicians and Providers, across two locations—collectively managing a team of 68 direct reports. This role supports a range of specialties including OBGYN, Pediatrics, and General Surgery, along with rotating specialists in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, Infectious Disease, Urology, and the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, consumer, finance or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related setting with accountability for meeting/exceeding key performance metrics.
  • Ability to develop, implement, evaluate and adjust an operational vision for the clinics.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to deal with operational and clinical staff.
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience or education within the field of business, consumer, finance, and administration.
  • Experience working in a managed care environment or integrated delivery network.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a large or multi-site outpatient clinic, health center or a complex procedural practice.
  • Ensure high quality patient care and customer service is delivered in the most financially efficient way.
  • Work in a strong dyad or triad relationship with the physician practice lead(s) and/or clinical leadership.
  • Collaborate with all Banner leaders in the market and the medical group to provide seamless and integrated service to patients.
  • Partner with market manager to build and maintain community partnerships/relations.
  • Support location, provider and/or specialty promotion in collaboration with Public Relations and Marketing.
  • Monitor operations and workflow and revise operational procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure the highest level of patient experience by monitoring data and coaching staff.
  • Develop and implement solutions for Strategic Initiatives, Service Excellence, or Quality Measures.
